United States Conference of Mayors

87th Annual Meeting Identity

Redshed has enjoyed a great working relationship with the United States Conference of Mayors (USCM) for more than 15 years. For its most important event, the USCM Annual Meeting held each June, USCM felt the format was outdated, and asked us to step in. They wanted a more engaging overarching Annual Meeting concept that it could also use at its Winter Meeting held each January.

Redshed’s objective was to create an indelible experience that enveloped attendees from the moment they arrived at the airport.

We modernized how everything was staged, including the stage itself. The setting was more open, and featured dynamic LED panels to add depth, excitement and intrigue. This featured multiple backgrounds of textures and patterns slowly moving across all stage panels and the main screen, changing colors and allowing seamless integration video presentations. What’s more, we concealed where featured speakers and panelists entered the stage. What was essentially just a stage with a podium made this feel far less like a meeting, and far more like a special event.

In addition, we ensured this newly energized concept was cohesively translated across directional banners, signage, the welcome booth, and name tags for each attendee. Redshed not only developed the concept and design, we fully managed all production, placement and build-out, working directly with USCM staff to facilitate a smooth implementation across the board.
